Building Your Environment
By far the best way to learn any technology is to gain some hands-on experience, in other words, have the product or the technology available in front of you so that you can use it, try it, configure it, break it and fix it all for yourself. That's going to help you to fully understand the product and how it works. VMware vSphere is no different. The best way to learn VMware vSphere 6 is to have some hands-on access to the product in one form or another. In this module we'll talk about what it takes to build your own environment, the different considerations and decisions that you need to make. From there we'll discuss lab options that are available to you and then jump into each one of those lab options talking about VMware Workstation, VMware Fusion, cloud-based labs, VMware's Hands-on Labs and then finally, we'll explore the virtual machine infrastructure and network infrastructure that I used to create this vSphere 6 Foundations video training course. We've got a lot to cover. Let's get started.
